Steve C left this review about Old Peg

The Old Peg has a central U-shaped bar off the rear wall with seating to the left where an old exposed and painted brick fireplace can be found in the rear corner. To the right is more seating and a pool table and dartboard. Televisions throughout were showing muted F1 and some very slow background music was playing. Standard and premium keg was available and one of the two handpumps was in operation drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar. The service was polite, but the music was tiresome and I was glad to leave.

A fairly basic pub but I assume its been refurbed since the last review. An open plan place with a central bar and a pool table to the right of this. A pale green artexed wall interior and white artexed ceiling. 2 Handpumps on the bar but only one with a clip on which was sadly reversed.

Customers round the bar telling the landlord how to run the place eating takeaways on the bar swearing at the top of their voice. DON'T THINK THIS GUY WILL LAST LONG

Alan Winfield left this review about Angel Hotel

The Angel is a nice looking white painted pub that is just along the road from the Cottage.
Once inside there was one largish room that was carpeted and had comfortable seating,i dont think there were any other rooms.
The pub was a Bass tied house when i went in it and there two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Bass and this was a decent drink the other beer was Worthington bitter which was on handpump.
This was a fairly decent pub and i was happy enough having a drink in here.
