I was in here last week and found the pub to be nothing spectacular. There is a pool table at the rear and some of the pub is closed off for renovation. The front of the pub is a large high ceilinged room with some sofas on a step up to the side.
I got the feeling that it is very much a local's pub and a lone gentleman walking in on his own will be treated as suspect. One thing that was definitely suspect was my flat pint of lager. Also, I'm not sure what the attraction is with playing Magic on the plasmas whilst love ballads are being blasted out, especially when 90% of the patrons are over 65.
There are better pubs in the area.

A Greene King pub, but no real ale only had Greene King smooth. I tend to explore any pubs I visit, if I can. As I was walking around looking at the pictures on the wall, some of the regulars were watching me. Some people might find this a bit threatening.
