Original review: 27th February.

This is a former Taylor Walker house, as evinced by their trademark arched frame, denuded of its gun carriage and lanterns, now minus the TW trademark glass. This dates from the mid-19th century, but was rebuilt in the 1920s; the rather fine green glazed tiled interior hinted at good things…
Alas, the interior has been completely opened out and modernised since the Google tour was recorded in 2011, rendering the previous reviews largely obsolete. It’s completely modern, with a rough pale wood floor, bare brick, pale grey paint with a black ceiling, multiple TVs showing the footie, games machines, jukebox and two pool tables to the rear, with youngish children playing on them at near 10.00pm. Furniture is spartan and remotely placed, making the interior seem a bit empty. Regarding me with some with suspicion, customers seemed to be speaking possibly Portuguese, so perhaps there’s a Brazilian flavour here, though certainly I’d describe it as a sports’ bar, with hotel above.
There’s no real ale, me being served a half of Neck Oil (£3.20), by a suspicious possibly South American barman.
This is a very poor place indeed and not feeling comfortable from the outset, I was glad to leave; a far cry from the Westbury.

Rated: 2.5.

This pub is split into two bars with the public bar on the left housing a pool table, dartboard, plasma screen and good sized bar. The right hand side of the pub is much larger with a big projector screen for showing Sky Sports and Setanta located on the wall behind a small raised area that is used for the bands/DJ to set up on during music events. There is also another plasma screen and a pool table located at the rear by the doors that lead to the beer garden.

There is only a selection of generic draught, which is a shame as there are two unused hand pumps in the public bar and another four in the main bar. The barman that served me was very friendly and my Guinness came in at £2.65 a pint. I spotted a menu and the food seemed very cheap (£2.99 for a burger and chips), so I'm not sure what the quality is like.

This is a good place for watching the football.

Good old fashioned roadside pub with a very large saloon bar and a small public bar which has a pool table.Unfortunately no real ale which would make it even better.20 mins from Seven Sisters station.
