This is a decent pub with a friendly enough crowd, although the barman that served me could do with cheering up a bit. The drinks selection was a little unimaginative with the usual selection of standard and premium lagers.
A band was just starting its set at the rear of the pub as I was leaving and it was extremely loud. No wonder everyone was crammed into the front. The centre of the pub is very narrow so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting to the toilets that are up the stairs and so far away they must be in a different time zone. There are plenty of plasma screens and the pub was advertising sport shown on Sky and Setanta.
The bouncers seemed to be asking for ID from anyone who looked under 21, which is always a good sign and I think added to the nice atmosphere.
I certainly wouldn't be upset if this late licence pub was one of my locals.
