A basic town pub dating from the 18th Century, recently refurbished. There is a large front bar and some smaller nooks around which are more intimate. There is also a small garden at the back. The staff were welcoming, the locals pleasant and lively. The background music was tolerable and there was a TV showing live sports. They hold curry and steak nights. The only ale on was Rebellion IPA, which was in very good condition. A decent local, well worth a visit.

The Bell is a traditional style pub in the heart of Princes Risborough, located on the main road.
Internally there’s a lounge section and then a games area section which has a pool table and two dartboards, and the pub seems fairly sports orientated with four sceens dotted about and various flags and sport shirts on the walls and ceilings. And according to the wall posters there is a popular Karaoke night on the first Saturday of every month.
Then there is a decent garden area and large car park out back.
The focus is on drinking here as there is no food menu except for pies pasties and sausage rolls from the container behind the bar.
There was two Ale pumps on the bar which were dispensing Spitfire and Youngs Special and my pint of Youngs was perfectly passable, but got the impression that they move significantly more lager than Ale here.
A perfectly serviceable local boozer that I wouldn’t have a problem using regularily if it was my local. But as it’s not there was also nothing here that would drag me back from afar.
