Very lovely tiled Truman's tiling, but with a modern bar window replacing something older and undoubtedly more attractive.
Dartboard to the left as you enter, this is a very basic locals' pub which doesn't really warrant a second visit unless you are a local devotee.

This is one of those atractive looking pubs from the outside, with its original Truman's signage, that entices one to enter. I was a little surprised to see two real ales available - London Pride (£1.60 a half), and Greene King Old Spooky Hen, which must be some halloween themed beer based on their other ale with a very similar name. There was no sign of any food on Tuesday lunchtime.

This is small single-room bar; bare-boarded; counter by the left hand wall past the dartboard; and seating is banquettes and some normal tables and chairs. So far, so good. There was an old jukebox by the wall on the right, but am unsure whether it was responsible for the unwelcome music blaring out. There was just me and one other chap in there chatting to the landlady, and I can't see how the loud music would have aided the quality of their conversation. But maybe they prefer it that way.

Obviously it's very hard to form an overall opinion of a pub when it's so quiet (figuratively, that is) in there, but it has the look of a locals' drinking pub to me. It was a lot better than the Misty Moon just down the road, and the London Pride was in reasonable shape as well. It's fine for what it is, but it's certainly not really worth going out of your way to visit.

Nice looking pub from outside with the green tiles and a sign saying stout -mild - ale and porter.Sadly only 2 customers with Pride and Speckled hen on hand pump.Nice tidy interior.Last reviewer said they give out free fish food on a Sunday.Thats what I give my guppies.Dont fancy eating it.

myself and a couple of friends visited this pub Saturday evening. What a great night there was two ladies singing everyone including myself was dancing. Great atmosphere got talking to a couple of the locals who love there pub! they told us to pop in on Sundays where they serve fish food, roast potatoes and various other food (all free!!). I will defiantly be going back and recommending to my other friends

A small pub sandwiched between two larger buildings, the exterior looks half decent with some Truman Hanbury Buxton & co signage, everything else is a bit of a let down though,a very basic interior which smelt of disinfectant,a fruit machine and a dartboard. Two handpumps clipped with Pride and Doombar,I asked for a Pride but neither were ready to be served so I had a quick half of Fosters which was probably a blessing in disguise . The service was friendly enough but I can't find much else to recommend about this pub.
