Literally a pub of two halves even if there is no clear demarcation, generally the Mawsons end is for the drinkers while the Fox and Hounds end had tables set for diners. Closed at weekends and it also shuts early doors during the week so time your visit appropriately. Boarded polished floor, some wood panelling, lots of framed Fullers memorabilia including old price lists. Mixed but generally normal height seating but with some sofas and padded armchairs, candles on the tables, all quite comfortable and civilised. The beer was in fine fettle as it ought to be in a brewery tap, I went for the ESB as I tend to in a Fullers pub. Others on were Pride, Seafarers, Jack Frost, Oliver's Island and Firecracker.
A food specials board opposite the bar looked upmarket, spiced rabbit cassoulet, roast pork belly.
My first time in here as I've always passed by at weekend, quite a nice pub though.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Mawson Arms (Fox & Hounds)

Well known as being the pub with two names (and two different signs) and the Fuller's brewery tap. The area by the main door can be quite crowded if your visit coincides with one of the brewery tours, but there is rather more space beyond the bar in the former Fox & Hounds. There is also the splendid little Alexander Pope dining room hidden away upstairs in the Mawson Arms (which we re-visited for our team's Christmas lunch following a good time last year). Full range of available Fuller's beers, ranging from the regular Chiswick, Pride, Seafarers, Discovery and ESB, plus the limited edition Trators' Gate ruby red, with the Black Cab stout being on fine form. Top notch.

The exterior of the Mawson Arms/Fox & Hounds is quite imposing but, considering it's the tap of Fuller's brewery, I must say I was a little disappointed at how plain is the interior - mainly laid out for food with much mis-matched furniture the bulk of which appears to have been reclaimed from various skips. The food was nothing special but quite expensive. The only saving grace, of course, is the decent range of well-kept Fuller's ales - but if you are going on the brewery tour save yourself the expense of a second pint in here as there's loads of free beer included in the tour at the brewery's own bar.

The Mawson Arms is a decent traditional pub in its own right, but the fact that it is the Tap pub for the Fullers Brewery makes it that little bit special.
Well described by previous reviewers below as formerly two pubs now put together, it is the starting point for the Fullers Brewery tours and is worth a visit for the beer , even if you are not doing a tour.
One thing to be aware of is that it is only open Monday to Friday.

This is 2 pubs for the price of one. As you can see by the pics and signs there used to be 2 seperate pubs, The Mawson Arms and the Fox & Hounds. They were amalgamated when the Fullers brewery was extended. Now an excellent pub known only as The Mawson Arms. This is the Fullers brewery tap and as you would expect serves the most excellent of Fullers beers.Very comfortable and well worth a visit. This is where all brewery visits start and end

This is the Fuller's brewery tap, combined with the adjacent (and effectively the same pub) Fox & Hounds. The Mawson Arms half is really the main bar area, with the Fox & Hounds half the dining area. As you would expect, they have the full range of Fuller's ales on, including their London Porter. Again as you would expect, the ESB was excellent. All in all this is a pretty decent pub, with the main downside being the noise from the Great West Road that passes directly outside the pub.
The food seemed good value, although I didn't eat in there on this occasion. The Monday pie & pint offer seems particularly good value – steak and ale pie with veg plus a pint of Pride for £5.95. Nice pub – I like it.

Last Friday was the first time I had been into the Mawson Arms without doing the Fuller's brewery tour, which is a yearly tradition at my firm. There are only so many times that you can have a long drawn out conversation about a Wisteria!

We were met by the usual friendly hello and tucked in to some obviously well kept beers. I don't usually drink bitter, but you can't really go to the Fuller's brewery tap room and drink Stella. I wasn't overly impressed with the burger and chips that I had, but it was cheap and I probably got what I paid for.

I'm sure that I'll be back again next year.
