Dating from at least the late 19th century, this is very much a hidden backstreet pub which you’re unlikely to find unless you’re looking for it.
This small place underwent a contemporary makeover in 2019, probably followed by further work after an electrical fire in 2022. The result, despite outward appearances, are trendified dark grey walls with a white ceiling, an original element of interest being the Art Nouveau stained-glass leaded clerestory windows; the silent, unwatched football was a domineering annoyance, especially in such a confined space. Customers were a jolly, mixed bunch aside from the loud swearing emanating from one knuckle dragger next to me at the bar.
Aside from an unused pump, cask was a choice between Brakspeare’s Oxford Gold or Gravity, £2.80 a half, served by a very friendly landlady who gave me an unprompted top-up; it was in great shape too.
Despite the modern colour scheme and sweary customer, this is a nice pub, probably the best in the immediate vicinity, but I couldn’t help feeling that it acts like a bit of a fluffer for the Alma next door; with the distractions addressed, this could be a decent boozer.

A pretty unremarkable corner pub, small single roomed with two handpumps at the bar, only an average Sambrooks Wandle on, but sensibly priced for the area, at £3.95. The pub was empty on a Sunday lunchtime, I am unlikely to bother again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Standard

Modest corner pub with quite a plain yet attractive façade. Limited amount of plain furniture in the slightly tapering bar, with a small lounge area beyond and a tiny patio area at the back. Also has several wooden bench seats out on the pavement. Just one of two handpumps in use, but a decent pint of Purity Pure Gold (£3.70) served. TV sport seems to be the main thing here, and the place manages to retain a 'local' atmosphere.

This is a small, light and airy pub handy for Wandsworth Town station. The floor is boarded as is becoming the norm in town but with a well worn black lacquered finish, fairly standard issue seating but with a pair of sofas down one end. My visit coincided with live football on TV so consequentially the pub was rather busy and most seats taken but I managed to bag a stool at the bar. For such a small pub they have still managed to cram in three tellies; despite the football being on, rugby looks important with a fair few framed related photos plus a framed shirt of the Samoan Fuga on display, I know not why if there is a connection.
The young barman was friendly and helpful, two handpumps offered Sambrooks Wandle and Timothy Taylor Landlord. I opted for the Wandle but this went so naturally switched to TTL. They don't do food however takeaways are welcome to the extent that local outlet's menus are available and plates, cutlery and napkins are provided. I don't know who does the washing up.
I felt comfortable in here despite being a first time visitor and it being busy, other plus points for me included the availability of London Drinker magazine and the quirkiness of being the only pub I can recall that sells Monster Munch.
There is a garden I understand, didn't see it, live music advertised for the first Saturday of the month.

Small pub but not that pleasant. Woman scoffing a chinese takeaway at the bar!! People chewing gum and drinking coke whilst watching football. Had one and left.

London Pride and Doom Bar on handpump when I visited. The Doom Bar I had wasn’t particularly good, although just about drinkable, and at £3 a pint the going rate for the London suburbs I suppose. The floor was either black lacquered or had a black floor covering; there were three or four wooden tables with wooden chairs, and one settle adorned with cushions, and two sofas with a table between them. There was a TV showing the footy results, but on the plus side there were no one-armed bandits or games machines. The service was friendly enough. Obviously it’s a small one-room pub. It’s another “OK” pub, and quite comfortable but without, in my opinion, being anything very special.

It was quiet when I visited. I was the only one in. Does have real ale. No food available, but a note on the wall says you can bring a takeaway and they will supply the cutlery. Opens from 3.00. Update, notice on the door, 'CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE' the door was open and building work had started inside, though not sure if it's a refurb or a close down. New update, this pub is now open again. Under new management. The sign outside said they were closed for a facelift. Now has seating out the back and some seats out the front. still has the take away option. Very friendly owner, let me take pics of inside and back garden. She didnt want to be in the pics, but u can see her on the right hand side of inside pic.

I found the staff and the other punters in here to be very friendly and I really enjoyed my stay. The Landlord was on good form and Greene King IPA was also available alongside San Miguel and some standard lagers.

There are plenty of TVs for the watching of all things sport and there is also a dartboard as you walk through the entrance. I saw some signs for a beer garden out the back, but it was far to cold to entertain the idea of venturing outside.

The pub is quite small and can get packed out, but I would still gladly go back here again for a few jars.
