Originally the Leather Market Tavern, this is an early Victorian pub, built into the rather fine former London Leather Hide & Wool Exchange.
The pub’s website says it’s only open until 12.00 pm, but as I turned up mid-evening, I think they mean 12.00 am. On arrival, I was greeted by an undesirable customer being ejected by the manager. There was still a sign asking customers to wait to be seated, which I ignored, but wasn’t similarly ejected, so said customer must have been involved in a more serious infraction. The interior is a bit of a jumble, with pews to the front then more conventional furniture, some high, with the bar to the rear. Paintwork is off-white with a black ceiling and there are knickknacks, which includes a small selection of old iMacs, pot plants to windowsills, then ugly Six Nations tat. There was one annoying TV showing the football with the sound off, then another seemingly showing endless adverts; I don’t want to be told to think about buying Canesten whilst supping my pint. Lighting is mixed, the overall ensemble visible on the pub’s gallery website. Customers were few and young, certainly in contrast to the other three real pubs on my mini crawl (Dover Castle excepted).
Despite being a Fuller’s pub, there was one unused pump, then one for Pride, thereafter Cwtch which was rather on the turn, served by a very friendly barmaid, the manager apologising to customers for the behaviour of the ejectee; no apologies made for the quality of the beer though.
This isn’t a bad pub, but it could be so much better: lose the TVs, sports tat, get some decent beer on and you’re onto a winner.

BF is right about the noise. Hardly anybody in but you wouldn't have known. Three Fullers hand pumps, the rest keg.

Tied to Fullers, this square roomed bar has a high ceiling and a wooden floor which makes it very noisy when busy as the sound of conversation bounces around the interior. The furnishings are unremarkable and at least the flatscreen mounted in one corner had the volume on mute. There is a small serving bar in one corner with three handpumps ,only two dispensing on my trip London Pride and Olivers Island (decent ).The first floor room can be booked for functions and doubles up as a restaurant but the pub seemed more functional than attractive and I cant see any reason to hurry back.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Leather Exchange

Fullers pub with a square bar at the corner of the eponymous building. High ceiling, with plain furniture and decor apart from the pews used for two corner booths. 'The Leather Uppers' dining room upstairs (not visited). Visited on a Sunday afternoon, which is probably not a very representative time, but I thought it had rather a cold feel. Just Pride (£3.90) available from the three handpumps, so all rather disappointing.

A Fuller's pub seemingly, but with only London Pride and Discovery on. The Pride tasted like it was supposed to taste, and at £3.20 a pint not particularly cheap. Furnishings are somewhat minimalist – some sofas, normal tables with what appears to be recycled kindergarten or primary school chairs (a new one on me) and a couple of high stools that look like 70s IKEA rejects. They're probably worth a £100 a pair though. There was some music being played (didn't recognise it) too loudly for my taste, plus a TV that was switched off. There's not much on the walls – one large chalkboard just had “coming soon” written on it. I wonder what is coming soon? I doubt whether I shall return to find out. I found this place to be a bit soulless and uninspiring, but I suppose it must appeal to some people as there were a dozen or so punters in there.
