This is a gastro pub with limited offerings of San Miguel, Stella, Aspalls Cider, Guinness and Pride being available from the bar. The barmaid was very friendly and the Guinness was good, but there were only two other people in the pub during my visit on Thursday evening and I think that they were staff. I didn’t spot any food menus other than the list of bar snacks which consisted of chips, honey glazed sausages and spicy lamb balls each coming in at £3.50, which I suppose isn’t a bad price for the area. I’d imagine all of the menus are located on the tables in the dining area that has set tables and waitress service. The rest of the pub is mostly standing room with a few sofas thrown in and some conventional tables by the open kitchen at the far right hand side of the pub. On my way out I spotted some stairs that lead down to another seating area, but I did not check it out so I’m not sure how big it is. There is an advertised ‘secret garden’ out the back which is an enclosed area that is adorned with potted plants and has some covered seating and a BBQ that I’d imagine being used on sunny weekend days.

I don’t plan to return here just for a pint again and I was surprised with how quiet it was when other pubs in the area were quite busy.
