Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about City Retreat
Irregularly-shaped Youngs at the corner of a modern-ish office. Traditional furniture and decor, with a limited "small plates" menu. Two of four handpumps in operation, offering Ordinary (£3.50 in good shape) and Tribute as a guest. Overall, OK for a quick pint but all a bit limited. (NB - Review dates from June 2012.)

Old Blue left this review about City Retreat
Quite unremarkable single-roomed Young's pub, painted a darker shade of red. Four ale pumps but only serving Young's Ordinary (a well kept pint and at £3.30 good value for the area) and Bombardier as of yesterday. It is a more relaxed venue than most round here, and may suit you if you want a comfortable pint away from most of the Fleet Street bustle.
