Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Windmill

Traditional-looking corner pub with unusual patterned glazing in the front and side windows that certainly surprises once you step inside. The interior has been opened out under what must be a false ceiling to leave an uncluttered arrangement of mixed wooden furniture around the 'U'-shaped counter. The decor is inoffensive, but you can't help noticing the surprising absence of handpumps as you enter. Various standard keg offerings from the two hooped founts, including East Coast IPA and Meantime London Pale Ale (£5.20).

Agree with the reviews below: this is a pathetic excuse for a pub in a none-too scenic area.
Unsure whether it would like to call itself The Windmill or Windmill in the City - the pub isn't in the City - it appears to be Italian-run and judging by the barman's accent I'd concur. Food no longer seems to be on offer as it is - or was - part of the Gusto group; the pub's no longer listed on their website and the pub's website is a bit cagey on the food front.
This is a large, very spartan stripped out pub with some nice leaded stained glass Charrington's windows. As you enter, part of the floor is bare boarded, but thereafter it's solid concrete of all things! Furniture is conventional and music is muted. A TV to the wall was thankfully off. There are several recessed air conditioning ducts which aren't at all attractive.
As noted below and on WhatPub, this place doesn't sell real ale, the closest thing being Belhaven's Twisted Thistle IPA at a painful £2.70 a half.
This place is a load of crap - I can't remember the last time I drank in something this depressing.

The Windmill is in an area of EC2 where there ar'nt many other pubs.
This pub looks ok from the outside but once inside it was a big let down and it was trying its hardest not to be a pub,but they did serve me with just a drink.
There were no real ales on here and i did'nt notice any bitters so i had a Guinness.
This was by far the poorist pub i did on this London crawl.
