Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fleetwood

Modern Fuller's pub in the Broadgate complex with a raised seating area at one end and part-way along one side opposite the bar. Dull corporate furniture and decor of the Pitcher & Piano / All Bar One variety. Also has some patio tables outside in the front yard. On the plus side, although the three handpumps were only dispensing Pride, Oliver's Island and the seasonal Quintessential Pale Ale, the beer quality was excellent.

The Fleetwood is Fullers most northerly pub in the City, located in the ground floor of a modern glass fronted building, just around the corner from the busy Finsbury Avenue and Liverpool Street station, and just about makes it into The Broadgate development.
However this is more of a City bar than a proper pub and the large surface area of smoked glass windows along the side, coupled with the modern clean interior light wooden décor and range of seating on various levels gives it all the ambience of drinking in an airport lounge. But it probably just about has enough character to avoid it being just viewed as a faceless All Bar One clone.
In saying that this has been a fairly regular haunt for us over the years for a beer close to Moorgate and Liverpool Street, and we decided to look the place up again last night.
My personal preference would be for the more traditional Red Lion or Flying Horse, both a short walk south and north along Wilson Street respectively. But the reason I do not tend to convince others to move on from the Fleetwood is that, although this type of bar probably moves more Perroni and Pino Grigio to its target demographic, the Fullers beers tend to be well kept and you usually get a very good pint of London pride.
There is usually three Fullers ales available on the five handpumps , but this was reduced to just two last night with three Pride pumps and the seasonal Gales Spring Sprinter on the other two. Fortunately both beers were served in top condition.
The bar also has a lot of seating and tables outside in the Broadgate complex which was being well utilised on the hottest evening of the year so far last night, meaning it was OK to get to the bar even during the busy after work period.
The Fleetwood will not be to everyone’s taste, but continues to provide a decent pint of Fullers.
