Strongers . left this review about The Fence
Steps from the street climb to the Fence entrance that opens into a canteen like open plan space with a worn wooden floor and yellow painted walls and pillars. Booth seating is found on the left-hand wall and there are high tables around the entrance and the steel topped L-shaped serving counter to the right. At the rear, adjacent to a food service hatch, are some standard tables and out the back is a split-level garden, half patio and half Astroturf, with lots of seating. Available from the counter was a premium keg range plus Jubel, Clwb Tropica and an option from Deya Brewery, so unsurprisingly no cask. During a recent sunny midweek visit, not long after lunch, all the seating out the back was being used by diners, but it was quiet inside apart from the very noisy building work that was going on in the building above. There are some great proper pubs in this area, so I don’t envisage a return.

Very modern Fullers bar more geared towards food.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fence
Modern bar / restaurant, with mixed furniture and a reasonable rear patio beer garden. Although a 'stealth' Fullers house, there is no real ale available so I opted for the keg Honey Dew at £4.40 before moving on.
