Komakino . left this review about The Squirrel

Located on the edge of a housing estate but also off a green (nearby the now-closed Live & Let Live), this has GK livery out front but an ale line-up of Sharp's Doom Bar, Rebellion IPA and Smuggler didn't seem to fall into that camp. Entering from the side of the building via an out-door and another, the room is thin and rectangular with a TV screen affixed to the wall immediately to the right of the door as you enter (which made me think people were sitting facing the door to watch me come in), with an alcove-type room to the left, then the bar centre-left, leaving a small drinking aisle, a fireplace against the far wall with sofa seating in front, then a conservatory-type room to the left, presumably for dining. A half of the Smuggler seemed a little over-priced at £2 a half, and you'd struggle to swing a cat in here if there were 15-20 in and around the bar, but I've been to a hell of a lot worse, and the locals seemed a friendly bunch, so an MOTR '5' is about right.
