Komakino . left this review about The Royal Oak

Doubling up as the Gurkha Hut - a Nepalese restaurant - this old-style back street boozer is located directly behind the Kings Hotel. L-shaped internally, and still retaining a patina of character, this has a small restaurant area to the left and the right-hand side left to the drinkers, although there's no division between the two. A pink-coloured banquette runs from the bay window to the left of the entrance, interspersed by a dark wood mantelpiece open fireplaces along with old black and white photos of Stokenchurch on the wall. The locals are a bit grizzled, but harmless, and the ale selection consisted of Fuller's London Pride, Rebellion IPA and Roasted Nuts. The latter was the cheapest of the day at £3.70 for a pint's worth.
