Tris C left this review about The Crown

I came here once around the late ‘80s, to find it was a small, rather edgy locals’ pub, where I didn’t feel that comfortable.
A return the other night and it seemed quite full, though it’s very small. Customers seemed to be unchanged, with just a pump dispensing Doom to be seen.
There were several traditional locals’ boozers in Chelsea in the ‘80s and this would appear to be the last one, but I see little reason to return.

The Crown is a smallish looking pub that is in the back streets of Chelsea.
Once inside there is a long narrow room which runs to the rear, the bar is to the front left, the room is carpeted in the front area, the seating tall tables and chairs to the front, the rear area is bare boarded and has normal tables and chairs, there is a small bench seat to the rear.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which went down well enough, the other beer was Pedigree New World.
There were a couple of TVs showing the tennis on mute.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub,it was also quite busy on my late Wednesday afternoon visit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown

Dull façade housing a small rectangular bar, extended at the back with a seating area of a similar size. Light, modern furniture and decor. Several sports TVs. Two handpumps, dispensing Pride and Pedigree (expensive at £3.85) when I stopped by.

Clean and scrubbed looking, though a bit tattier than my last visit a couple of years ago. This time they had St Austell Tribute and GKIPA on – last time they had the superb Otter Ale on, so I don't think that the replacements are an improvement. I tend to think that this establishment is more of a restaurant than a pub. It's OK, but not really my kind of place.
