UPDATE
Now converted to solely an Indian restaurant with the variant-spelled name 'Osbourne Spice'.

6th March 2017
Opposite the duck pond next to the Grouse & Ale, this is now an Indian restaurant with bar. It still retains a pub interior with a central entrance taking you into a T-shaped room with pool table to the right and tables and chairs against upholstered bench seating which snakes along the left-hand wall including into the bay window. The bar occupies the left of the T down a step, brick built and offering just Rebellion IPA from the four pumps, three of which were unclipped. An eating area is located directly ahead beyond some doors, so there's some division at least. Low ceiling with exposed beams and carpet throughout, excepting a lino bar apron, this is right on the cusp between homely and weary and the overriding impression is of somewhere that needs its TLC to be kept on top of. I can imagine this being pretty knackered in a few years time. Needless to say, if you don't enjoy a pervading smell of Indian food in the air, maybe give it a miss.
