Tris C left this review about The Thatched House

This dates from the end of the 18th century, though was presumably rebuilt in the 19th, situated on busy Dalling Road, final destiny on the approach to King Street.
Bare boarded, this has clearly been opened out in recent years and slightly gastrofied, with some bare brick walls, then a white and smoky blue colour scheme, best appreciated on the pub’s website gallery. One item of note is the leaded lights with yellow stained-glass bands indicating a former brewery’s ownership. Décor comes along in the form of cupboards of books, framed prints, some with filament sconce lights and an upright piano. Customers were thin on the ground mid-Saturday evening, except to the rear dining room, with its freestanding fire; there’s a real log fire in the main bar. A TV was showing the football with the sound at moderate volume, with no one watching, competing with a soundtrack provided by Level 42.
Despite being a Ram pub, the only Young’s beer was London Original, then SlyBeast Beam Engine, Thatched House Pale Ale and Thatched House Amber Ale, brewer unknown, £2.45 a half and dull, served by an inattentive barman, chatting to his mates who told him that I was ‘…probably only going to have one drink’; how right they were.
This isn’t a bad place, but if I had to pop in for a drink locally, I’d choose the Anglesea over the road.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Thatched House

First re-visit to this thoroughly remodelled and refurbished Young's pub, now featuring a 'L'-shaped bar area with a side alcove and easier access to the rear dining area. Quite a modern feel to the furniture and decor, with low lighting and mid-level music early on a Friday evening. Used to have a very pleasant paved beer garden, which I assume is still there (but the weather wasn't condusive for a check). Four real ales on handpump: Ordinary, Special, Sambrook's Battersea Rye and a very rare sighting of Rail Ale from the Beer Engine brew-pub in Newton St Cyres, Devon (£4.20). This pub is somewhat hidden away in the maze of tidy residential streets north-west of Hammersmith town centre, but is worth seeking out.

Following an extensive refurb, The Thatched House reopened in August 2014 as The Butcher's Hook, sister pub to the one in Fulham.

For a Young's pub this corner-site pub, set in Hammersmith's suburban hinterland, isn't at all bad. The Victorian interior has obviously been ripped out in the past but the large, spacious bar area is quite tastefully decorated and at least there is some comfortable seating. The service was friendly and efficient and the ales were well-kept. Overall impression was above average and I'd certainly visit again.

This is a Young's house, with Bitter, Special and Bombardier on. A surprisingly large pub, with a lot of additional seating in what appears to be an extension at the rear. Apart from a couple of armchairs, furnishings consist of normal chairs and mainly large chunky tables. There are the usual stripped and polished floorboards typical of a Young's makeover. But boards in the main bar look original, as do the windows with some stained glass, but mainly clear glass, leaded panels. There doesn't seem to be anything else remaining from the original pub. This is yet another of those “OK” pubs with nothing exceptional or objectionable about them. Alright for pint if you're passing, but not worth going out of your way to visit.
