Steve of N21 left this review about The Derehams Inn

The Derehams Inn is hidden away up a side street in the area of Loudwater, just off Junction 3 of the M40 (although word of warning you can only get off the motorway at J3 on the northbound carriageway.
The pub is housed in a building that began life as two farm workers cottages in the 18th century, and keeps a very traditional English pub feeling with low ceilings, open fires in winter and, from the exposed ceiling beams, a collection of pewter jugs and horse brasses, and for this alone it is worth seeking out.
The internal one room L shaped space is quite small around a central bar serving area and is organised into a couple of comfortable and intimate areas and out back there is a very pleasant largely secluded beer garden.
Traditional pub food served Monday to Saturday lunch time and a full traditional roast on Sunday.
On the ale front this is a Free house and there are usually 3 / 4 ales available. The regular ales are London Pride, Brakspear and Youngs bitter, and then there is at least one, sometimes two rotating guest beer on the other pump(s). For my visit last week the Pride and Brakespears were supported by a Bitter from the Binghams brewery in Twyford.
The Derehams Inn is also used as a venue for the regional monthly classic car meeting, which is held on the first Monday of each month and annually, the pub hold a beer festival on the first weekend in July where they have around 20 beers on tap for the weekend.
Solid pub for a decent pint and well worth finding if travelling the M40 and you want to avoid going into High Wycombe (which no-one will blame you for).
