Moby Duck left this review about The Starman

Now named Starman it is an apparently a David Bowie Inspired venue. The only thing I found remotely to do with the music legend apart from the name and location, The image famous cover of the The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust Album was captured in the street nearby, was a large copy of said image on the wall inside the pub, even the music was some modern R'n'B funk crap. The pub Itself is nothing to write home about, big, cavernous and modernised with an semi open kitchen to the rear. No real ale but a large selection of mostly corperate craft keg offerings with Deya Steady Rolling man saving the day. I was expecting more from this pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tank & Paddle

The former Strawberry Moons has been replaced by something a bit more interesting, albeit still without a real ale in sight... The interior features two roughly equal parts, with general seating and a shuffleboard table in the front bar and more of a dining area (with the open kitchen to the rear) down three steps, although in mid-afternoon, more people were just drinking rather than eating here too. Both parts have counters, each with a duplicated selection from two banks of six taps on each bar-back. There are also a few Meantime founts for the tank beer that can be seen stored at the front. Other options included offerings from Beavertown and Sumo, but looking for something a bit different I went for the Wild Beer Pogo (nice enough, but so it should be at an extraordinary £6.70). On quite a sunny Spring day, good use was also being made of the patio tables outside at the front and along the side.

Big place with two bars. There was nobody in on Monday afternoon and I was about to leave when a barman appeared from somewhere. No real ale of course and nothing to recommend it. I was glad to leave in the end!

Before a couple of Friday's ago I don't think that I had ever entered here sober and I certainly hadn't been for 8 years. The main floor of the pub has a bar running down one side of it and a limited amount of seating dotted around. There is a dance floor at the back of the pub and some covered seating outside by the entrance. There is a VIP room, next to the toilet downstairs, which used to be another dance floor.

There is plenty of lager to choose from, but not a lot else. If it is anything like it used to be in the evenings it will be rammed and the queue for the bar will be long.

This is not really my scene anymore, so I think that I'll leave it to the teeny boppers!
