I came here once in 1989 when it was a proper pub called the Falcon. I don't recall the interior as it was a hot summer so we stood outside; my friend's Filofax was stolen, which tarnished the evening somewhat.
It now appears to be some sort of Irish bar in a style that doesn't appeal to me, so I'll not be back voluntarily.

I'd have to agree with the last review. This pub is much smaller than its big brother and is certainly its poor relation.

There are supposed to be 2 real ales from Sharp's here - Doom Bar & Coaster. The latter is labelled as Waxy's Ale. But neither were available. My second choice was a fizzy cider, which was also unavailable. The remaining beers were Guinness, Caffrey's, Blue Moon, Coors Light, Heineken, San Miguel, Chieftain IPA & Carling. Who knows if they were all available. But the Guinness certainly was at an eye watering £2.99 for half a pint!

There's not much to say about the interior, which is one single narrow room. Tables have been put outside to keep the crowds away from the inside. But the number of customers matched the number of staff (2). It's handily located in the middle of Chinatown. But I won't be back.

Even worse than its big brother. Get it pulled down!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Waxy's Little Sister

Distinguished from its nearby larger sister - Waxy O'Connors - by having a even poorer choice of beer (with badly-overpriced Caffreys at £4.10 probably being the best bet). Mind you, the small rectangular bar is usually less crowded, and there is also an upstairs room (never visited).

Mock Irish pubs are really not my thing. I had a Guinness which was decent enough but there wasn't really any alternative since the Caffrey's was off. I think, from memory, I had sausage and mash here which filled a hole. There again I was quite pissed at the time so that may have been somewhere else ;)

Unexciting sort of place stuck in Chinatown. One of small Irish chain, but doesn't seem very Irish apart from only selling Guinness and Caffrey's. Has room full of sofas upstairs which could be cosy, but major trek to bar. Won't be rushing back.
