Komakino . left this review about The Three Oaks

Now The Three Oaks as described by Steve below, this is on the gastro aide, but cleverly leaves room in front of the bar (which is betwixt the two front-facing entrance doors), although a bit of a disappointment on that front, with just one ale available from the three stumps - Rebellion IPA (a pint of that and a packet of crisps came to £5.35). Dining to the left and beyond with some further tables far right and another area to the left of the bar and semi-partitioned, leaving the slight impression of when this was a two-roomed affair. Boarded floor, dimmed lighting and neutral colours and an address which states 'Gerrard's Cross' rather than 'Chalfont St Peter' means this is all about the appearance.

Steve of N21 left this review about The Three Pigeons

Went past again the other day to notice that the former Three Pigeons has been done over and re-branded as The Three Oaks, a smart looking Gastro pub.
After a bit of research established that “The Three Oaks” is the third member of a small chain of up market Gastro pub restaurants, “The White Oak” Cookham and “The Greene Oak” Windsor run by Terry Wogans daughter and her husband. Having experience of the White Oak in Cookham which is clearly a restaurant first and foremost I would guess this is in the same vein and best described as gastro restaurant.

One of those places which tends to struggle. Went through a few owners before it was sold and converted into a gastro pub towards the end of 2007. Seemed to be doing alright but perhaps been affected by the downturn as it was closed until further notice when I went past the other day.
