Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Easton

Attractive corner pub with green tiling on both lower facades and colourful hanging baskets. However, the opened-out interior is a bit of a barn with plain regimented tables, but it also has plenty of window space to help offset some dark paintwork. A limited amount of patio seating is also available on one side. Just Doom Bar (£4.70) and Raspberry Ripple cider from Snails Barn available from the pair of handpumps.

Nice pub but hidden in a back street. The green tiled exterior gives it character but the one roomed interior is pretty bland. Two cask beers on Trumans -eagle and Doom. The windows are covered with fairy lights which give it a good effect at night.Quiet.

There were a couple of ales on in here - Timothy Taylor Landlord (£1.95 a half) and Truman's Zephyr. Chalkboards behind the counter advertised the food. Sunday roasts range from £12 for poussin (some sort of small chicken perhaps?), to £16 for the roast beef, plus bar snacks such as ham hock croquettes (£5.50) and BBQ ribs (£6.75) were also advertised. I also spotted a pie and a pint for £10 offer for Monday evenings.

The floor's boarded with modern replacement boarding, there's some red "velvelette" style upholstered banquettes around the sides of the room, plus all the tables are scrubbed recycled dining room extendable items with normal chairs. All the tables, about half of which were laid for diners, had a little vase of flowers on them. The horticultural flavour is complemented by several potted yuccas, or something similar, lurking in the corners. There are no fruit machines or others of their ilk despoiling the place, nor did I see any TVs, just a little background music playing.

It was a bit of a shame that I was the only person in there to enjoy the laid back atmosphere, which I thought a bit surprising with the busy Exmouth Rd Market just a stone's throw away. This is not the sort of pub that I usually like, but for some reason I quite liked this one, possibly because it looked as if someone had gone to some effort to make it clean and comfortable.

A large, open plan single bar corner pub with wood floors and substantial wooden furniture; the exterior is clad with attractive green glazed ceramic tiles.

The range of beers was good with many on draught; the pub also has gastro inclinations and is clearly aimed at the Clerkenwell set, for which read young and trendy.

Overall a pleasant experience, with surprisingly low prices. However, the service wasn't great, many tables were reserved yet empty and the acoustics were poor. I would though come here again as it may be more relaxed during the week.
