Real Ale Ray left this review about Millstone Inn

A very well run pub, which is spotlessly clean. The manager has a good reputation locally for his quality cask ales, which is evident from his highly polished handpumps. Four ales on our visit serving Tribute, Oakham Citra, TT Boltmaker and Grainstore Ten Fifty. I found the interior to be rather clinical, plus an uninspiring grey and blue decor.

Steve C left this review about Millstone Inn

The Millstone is a modern L-shaped pub with seating to the left of the entrance and a raised central bar to the right. Further right is more seating that wraps around to the rear where there is a door to a large courtyard full of picnic tables. Televisions are located throughout, muted daytime TV was on during my visit. Thankfully the handful of locals in high spirits at the bar were topping up the jukebox with a decent song selection. Premium keg is available alongside Carling and the four hand pumps were drawing Grainstore’s Ten Fifty, Oakham’s Citra, TT Landlord and St Austell’s Tribute. The barmaid was very friendly and the atmosphere was good for a weekday lunchtime, but the actual pub itself is bland and very forgettable.

Old Boots left this review about Millstone Inn

Located across the road from Melbourne’s brewery offices this one has an old stone pub exterior with a more modern inside and a locals’ pub vibe. Grey plague has reached everywhere inside. Four beers on handpump, Tribute, Landlord, Oakham Citra and Grainstone Ten-Fifty, there’s a very large beer garden at the rear with a pizza oven in a shed and it leads to a rear entrance on Sheep Market coming out next to the Golden Fleece.

This is a modernised bar with a low ceiling, ceiling lights, what looked like a wood laminate floor and several TV screens.
It wasn't very busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
The bar only has two hand pumps which had London Pride and Wells Bombardier Glorious English, a choice that was so dull I almost walked out. As I hadn't tried London Pride for a long time I went for that (£3.25) and it was a poor drink especially at that price.
This place had no appeal to me at all.

Blackthorn _ left this review about Millstone Inn

Although the pub has a traditional stone built appearance from the outside, the interior is surprisingly modern. There is some exposed stone work at one end with some painted wood panelling down below, but on the whole the decor is contemporary with laminate flooring and a plastered ceiling with several down lighters providing illumination.

That said, there were a couple of token black beams on the ceiling, and several old black and white photos of the area affixed to the bar counter. The tables are mostly wood and quite high, with bar stools to sit at. There is a courtyard garden and a couple of fruit machines. It seemed fairly quiet on a recent Thursday evening visit, and the landlord was presumably keen to shut up, switching off the fruit machines and drawing the curtains at about 10:30. There were four plasmas dotted around all showing ITV which seemed a little odd.

Beers on tap were Greene Kink IPA and Black Sheep. The solitary cider was Strongbow, unfortunately.
