Will Larter left this review about The Still

Occupying part of some old Co-op buildings slightly off the beaten track - this was my first visit despite having been to Lincoln on many occasions in the last 20 years or so - this long established pub conversion has squeaked into Camra's inventory of heritage interiors with a one star rating. The entrance lobby has doors to the two rooms either side, and there's another room visible further back on the right too. A number of hand pumps are on both sides of the central bar counter, but I saw that the lad working there was concentrating on a group of customers in the right hand room so I walked through there from the otherwise deserted left hand room and waited my turn. There was a house beer (a 4.2% blonde from a Marston's brewery) plus 61 Deep and Pedigree. I went for the Pedigree, which was just barely adequate (NBSS 2). Quite a pleasant pub but clearly I should have gone for a different beer. Or a lager.

A surprisingly traditional pub just off the High Street. Entering through what was clearly once the jug and bottle, you find a large central bar counter with a games room with pool table to the left, a lounge area to the right and a large saloon to the rear. Unlike most of Central Lincoln, it actually feels like a proper pub, not a restaurant or student dive. The Marston's ale range consisted of Pedigree, Ringwood Old Thumper and the 4.2% house beer.

ROB Camra left this review about The Still

A CAMRA national inventory pub with multiple rooms, lots of wood panelling, interesting glass panels and a real mix of clientele. The only cask ale available was Pedigree, but this was in decent nick. We sat in the lounge area to the right as a couple of noisy lads were playing on the pool table in the other main room. Loads of TVs which were quite intrusive, but with fairly low volume. It's a good looking pub, but I doubt it will become a regular haunt.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Still

Interesting town-centre boozer, a bit lost down a side street and somewhat submerged by the Waterside development, but the Camra heritage inventory interior hasn't been too badly abused. The central entrance corridor with part-glazed partitions leads to a small counter (possibly for off-sales in days of yore), with bars on either side of the central 'U'-shaped servery. The public bar is dominated by a pool table but the small tables around the periphery are probably more amenable than the larger ones in the main bar. However the rear lounge is very appealing and more like a large snug than anything else. Reasonable selection from the Marston's range from the trio of handpumps on each counter: Pedigree, Burton Bitter, Hobgoblin, the 4.2% 'house' Still pale ale (£2.80) and Lancaster Bomber.

Marstons pub. U-shaped interior with some old dark varnish wood panelling retained along with some internal glasswork. Three on, Marstons Bitter (pretty good), 61 Deep and Wychwood Gold. Bit of a rum crowd in situ though (with some interesting tales circulating) but I suppose it was a Saturday close to Christmas. Feels like somewhere that has stayed at pretty much the same point since around 1987, which is fair enough. It’s worth a nose when quiet for the interior.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Still

The Still is situated on a pedestrianised street in the middle of Lincoln.
When i first did this pub it was a North Country tied house,we had a very nice drink of North Country bitter.
I have visited this pub on many occasions since then and is seems to me to be pretty as it was in the early 80s.
Once inside there is a square shaped pool room to the front left, there is an oblong shaped lounge to the right which runs to the rear, this room is carpeted and has comfy bench seating and chairs, there is a smaller square shaped area off the lounge to the rear right, this area is also carpeted and has comfy bench seating and chairs.
I think the pub is now run by Marstons, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Marstons bitter which went down well, the other beer was Pedigree.
Some very good background music was playing,Pink Floyds Money, this also made my latest visit here more enjoyable.
This is a very pleasant smart and comfortable pub to have a few drinks in.
I really dont think this this pub deserves previous reviews about toilets.

Consists of two lounge areas split in two by the bar and the entrance. There was also a snug located from the right handside lounge. Lots of oak panelling and carpeted throughout. The downside to this pub was the most appalling ladies tiolets, reported by Mrs Ale.

We visited Lincoln on the last day of our tour and decided to have a drink at The Still. The pub had three cask beers Pedigree Mansfield and Hobgoblin,i had had a pint of Mansfield the day before in Boston and enjoyed it, but the pint i was served was flat and cloudy and quite warm.I returned it to the bar and after a short wait the manager said someone must have knocked the cask. The manager changed it for Pedigree which was ok he then served two men with mansfield from the pump which had been used to serve me the cloudy pint. No more visits to the Still for us.
