Alan Winfield left this review about Blandings

Blandings was a small single roomed pub that was situated on the busy high street and close to the level crossings.
Once inside there was a smallish oblong shaped room with the bar facing, the room was carpeted and had comfy bench seating and normal tables and chairs,it was quite a smart room.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house on the two visits here, sadly no real ales on the bar,so it was a drink of cold John Smiths bitter.
It is a shame this pub has now closed down as it was handy for the train station.
