Bucking Fastard left this review about The Lord Harrowby

A street corner pub with an updated interior but still retaining a two room layout and a genuine community local feel. The lounge to the left is long and thin ,with a low stage in the from window but with sofas and comfy chairs.Elsewhere a long bench with light pine furniture. The public bar has a darts board,a seperate pool room both also with pine furniture. An island bar serves both rooms.Flatscreens will play BT Sports but not Sky.
There is a beer list of a board in the entrance alcove and on my visit that meant real ale as follows; Brewsters Hophead,Milestone Honey Porter,Pheasantry Black Pheasant Porter,Liquid Light Inside the Sun (NBSS 3.5) and Left Handed Giant US Pale (NBSS 4),a very decent range and style mix. There are some craft keg taps and a small fridge in the lounge with cans of exotic imported beer, many very stong sours from which I also chose King County Brewing Collective Cantina Hyena all the way from Brooklyn.
Chatting to the locals, they said that as this pub is away from the town centre, the village idiot young drinkers give it a miss.
The barmaid and landlady were chatty are very helpful with local advice and having crawled around Grantham this is the must visit pub,I most certainly will return.

Traditional two room local tucked away in a back street. Victorian style public bar to left with 2x dart boards. Lounge to the left which is carpeted with padded bench seating, a coal fire and sporting a tiled bar top. Look out for the stars of the 80’s signed and framed photos above the bar. Five ales over the two bars with local ales and a blackboard with colour jars. My Oldershaw Blonde (excellent) River Head Butterley Bitter (very good) Long Man Old Ale (superb) and Jurassic Bitter (good). A friendly, mature clientele in situ. We really enjoyed our time here and stayed for longer than planned. It’s easily Grantham’s best pub in my opinion and one of the best in the county I'd wager.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Lord Harrowby

Opens at 3pm Mon-Fri and is a 10 min walk from the train station. This pub is worth a visit as the landlady is friendly and chatty as well as the locals. It is a two room pub with the bar side quite 70's looking. The lounge side is more mordern in appearance. Five ales on handpump, Sharps Doom Bar is there reg, two from Oldershaws, a Wells and Tom Wood Best Bitter.
