Everards place and we had hopes for this one. Very local inside, we got the stares. Carpeted, some wallpaper and white painted walls with royal blue trim. Served by a village idiot barman who was eventually barged out of the way by the matriarch. Three ales on; Everards Old Ruby, Everards Tiger and Castle Rock Elsie Mo, as well as a proper cider. The Tiger went on fresh but weirdly was still pretty poor. Overall, not too impressed.

The Crown is in the middle of Uppingham and faces the small market place.
This pub is an Everards tied house and once inside the pub was very busy with a good mix of customers,there was a dining area at the rear and this was empty the main bar area was fairly large and it was carpeted and had bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
There were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Castle Rock Harvest Pale this was ok but not as good as it could be the other beers were all from Everards with Tiger bitter, Original and a seasonal called Flurish.
This was a decent enough pub but it was a bit too busy for our liking.
