I think the parents had let their kids run the pub while they were on holiday, all very young and clueless.
Waited an age to get served drinks.
I ordered "Chicken Giglio Romano" - chicken in a cheese sauce with Mozzarella,Italian hard cheese, roasted peppers and side salad (sounds good?)
Food came - no roasted peppers, no side salad and not a hint of Mozzarella or Italian hard cheese. All they served up was chicken in a sauce.
I complained to the surly kid behind the bar and he said "Oh yeah,we should have taken that off the menu".
So I then asked for Cajun Salmon in a Chive and Dill Sauce as a replacement.
Absolutely, fowl! Microwaved boil in the bag Salmon and no sauce. Asked where the sauce was and they came back with a blob of stuff in one of those McDonald cardboard dip things you use for tomato kethcup.
They finally gave me a bit of a reduction, but this is a pub that serves up tasteless, microwaved rubbish. Plus the staff have no idea how to treat customers. We live in Coventry so didn't realise what tripe they serve up, I bet there were no locals eating there.

A nice friendly pub. Good reasonably priced food and a super pint of Guinness or Pedigree. Occasionally has guest beers on offer which are always worth a try, I beleive they are part of the Marstons Group so it should be decent. But if you are considering it I'd certainly recommend it (and no I don't work there!) It's a shame they do not offer accommodation as I'm sure that'd be a winner due to it's location.
