Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Plough Inn

We started a day out in Leicestershire at this village pub, shortly after midday opening on a Sunday. A few were already in. All were drinking at the bar.

The interior feels fairly old and wraps itself around the central bar, with two or three different sections. A games room with a pool table can be found in one corner, also with access to the bar. The gents toilets are hidden away next to the games room.

3 regular ales here are Theakston Best, Greene King Abbot & St Austell Tribute. In fact, the pub has Theakston signs on its exterior. Guests were Wadworth 6X & Grainstore Rutland Panther. The latter didn't seem in the best condition, probably as it was the first one out.

Food seemed to be limited to rolls.

The fairly dark interior has plenty of memorabilia for Notts County and Leicester City football clubs, along with a large selection of trophies in one corner, including both ladies and men's trophys for bin pushing, which must be an interesting local pastime.

There is a garden at the rear, which leads up to the car park beyond that.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Plough Inn

The Plough In is a decent looking bare brick built pub, this is the sort of pub i really like the look of from the outside.
Once inside there was a smart room at the front where we had a drink this room was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating, there was a real fire crackling away to the left which was very nice on a cold day, there was also a seperate games room to the rear this had a pool table and seating around the room.
There were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Bass and this was a nice drink the other beers were Banks's bitter, Theakston best and GK Abbot.
This was quite a nice pub to sit in and have few drinks.
