I walked into this pub mid-carvery and what a wonderful sensation; like walking into your parents' or grandparents' on a Sunday lunchtime – and this was on a Wednesday early evening. A cosy pub if anything; most tables were commandeered by people tucking into said carvery in dignified silence with a couple of barflies of a certain age chewing the fat with the front-of-house landlady in hushed tones so as not to disturb the diners – it made quite a scene. Signs outside the pub proudly proclaim this is the home to the Pig Brewery (never heard of them) and of the six(!) handpulls on the small bar, five were Pig brews (a sixth was unclipped). I plumped for a Pig Spring Ale, pulled through a sparkler which came to £4.10 for a pint and which was a nice drink. This place is well in the sticks, but if anyone is in the area, I'd urge you to drop in just to try the beer and see the place for yourselves.

The Pig in Muck is situated at the top end of main raod on the corner of manor road, this is now the only pub left open in Claybrook Magna.
Once inside the pub has been opened out into one large room with different drinking areas, there was a real fire on the go in the right side, the bar was facing with a tiled area near it,the room was carpeted either side of the bar,the seating was comfy bench type with normal tables and chairs.
The pub has a brewery on site and there were two of their real ales on the bar,the landlord gave us a taster of these and both were very nice drinks,i had a drink of Pig Best bitter which was a proper bitter the other beers were Pig Pig Out which was a lighter beer,Pedigree and GK IPA.
This is a proper pub with no frills but it was very busy on our mid Saturday afternoon visit with a good mixed bunch in.
If you are in this area of Leicestershire give this one a go for the beer alone.
