A strange little place. Off the main the road, not really next to anything and with no discernible frontage. It’s a Marstons house with what’s best described as a ‘wraparound’ multi-area’d interior, traditionally decorated with a 70's vibe (woodchip ceiling and artex style walls…!). Three ales from Marstons, sadly my Saddle Tank was flat and fusty (NBSS 2, just). There was a nice avuncular middle-aged vibe inside with some excellent overheard conversations and if I’d have had longer I might have tried the Pedigree to see if some extra points could be salvaged as it felt like a decent place to be.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Plough Inn

This pub has reopened after a refurbishment we went in here on 18 June 2011 and some locals said it had been open for a few days.

The Plough is a strange looking pub with no real frontage, the pub is just off the main street and very close to the Bulls Head.
Once inside there was a smartish room that had a bar this was carpeted and had bench type seating there was another room that was up a step this did'nt have that many seats in it and to the right down a few steps was a sports type room all these rooms were open to each other but still seemed like seperate rooms.
This pub is a Martons tied house and there were six real ales on the bar, the side we drank in had three pumps and i had a drink of Pedigree and this was a very nice well kept drink the other beers were Marstons Burton bitter, Jennings Cumberland, Hobgoblin and a seasonal from Wychwood, the landlord did tell me what beers were on the other side but i forgot one.
There was a mixed bunch of people in here of all ages and i thought it was a decent enough pub.
