This was taken over by a new landlord about 18 months ago and has been given a new lease of life. It's been smartened up without losing any character or changing the layout. Wood-panelled bar, cosy lounge, regularly changing guest beers and a friendly, enthusiastic landlord. A village pub in the city!

Craking Victorian local in quiet location in old section of Aylestone village, on southern boundary of Leicester city.
At least 6 real ales.
Dogs welcome
Large beer garden
Close to canal, fields and Great Central Way.
Excellent traditional atmosphere
Leicester CAMRA Pub of the Month May 2007
Light lunches served Tues to Friday
Closed monday daytime till 5pm
Children not permitted in bars.
