Old Boots left this review about The Bricklayers Arms

Four beers at the front face of the counter, one from Vale, London Pride, ESB and a reversed clip for a Marlow beer, there are four more pulls up a step or two into another bar area with the same beers. Further back is another sitting area then up a passage, obviously a former yard, past the lavs to a garden. A very wooden white box of an interior with exposed brickwork and old beams. yes it has tartan carpets but bags of atmosphere in spite of that and the big screens and piped music. Spot on beer and spot on staff in this one.

Komakino . left this review about The Bricklayers Arms

I'm surprised no-one has thought to double this up with the nearby Old Millwrights Arms as it's a decent old school town boozer - a long rectangular room that rises as you enter further into it, with a tartan-type carpet, low exposed beams, a covered rear courtyard and lots of exposed brick. The bar's on the right and extends for almost the whole length of the room and offered up Fuller's London Pride and ESB something called BB Best Bitter and Grain Best Bitter, which at £3.50 a pint was in superb condition.

Beer Haze left this review about The Bricklayers Arms

If you are looking for an old British boozer then this is perfect, not a sign of gastro pub or branding anywhere, great atmosphere and great beers too, will be back next time in the area!
