Steve C left this review about Edington Arms

The Edington Arms is a tidy horseshoe shaped Holts pub with a centrally placed U-shaped bar counter that comes out of the rear wall. Seating is found in the front windows either side of the entrance and banquettes run up the left and right-hand walls. There’s more seating at the rear, but lights were out so I didn’t investigate. Muted cricket via Sky Sports was on the televisions and there was some low background music playing during a recent early Thursday evening visit. The weekly quiz is advertised for Wednesdays, and there’s regular weekend karaoke. There were less than ten locals in, but the atmosphere was good with a bit of friendly banter. Only Bitter was available from the two hand pumps, but it was on good form. A decent pub handily placed next to the railway station, worth a look.

Much as below, this place mostly consists of a very comfortable horseshoe lounge bar. Plenty of TVs but effectively a quiet pub, ideal for a chat and decent pint before the train. They’ve taken the below advice and cut the real ale offering down to one, the Bitter was acceptable if not outstanding.

This is a very good looking pub, both inside and out. There's one main, horseshoe shaped room and a further pool room to the rear where there's also a beer garden. Leather look settles all around the walls and several big TV's in the main room. Four handpumps on the bar, but only two on serving Holts bitter and Chorlton Pale. Judging by the quality on the Chorlton Pale which was definitely on its last legs, maybe they should only have one handpump on. I'd only had a half, so I couldn't be bothered complaining. Glad I didn't have a pint or I definitely would have. Nice pub, shame about the beer (The Monks circa 1979) :-))

A nice pub right by the train station. A two room layout with the lounge area at the front and a bar with pool table to the rear. 3 real ales on with 2 from Holts and a guest. I liked it.
