Alan Winfield left this review about The Woodpecker Inn

The Woodpecker Inn is situated at the bottom of the hill if walking down from Walsden like i did,or a shortish walk from the middle of Todmorden.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room with the bar to the rear left, there is a pool table on a raised area up to steps to the front right, the seating in the main area is comfy bench seating and small stools, the room is carpeted throughout, there was a TV on showing the end of the Man Utd v Leicester City game.
There were three real, ales on the bar,i had a drink of Grafton Priors Well Pale, which was a very nice well kept beer, the other real ales were Lees Bitter and Thwaites Wainwright.
I thought this was a very pleasant pub to have a drink in.

Its not too bad. On the outskirts of the town but just about worth the walk. A couple of real ales were available. Two pool tables at either side of the bar, if you're into that stuff.

Nicely refurbished comfortable pub on the main Todmorden to Walsden road. As you enter there is a lounge area to your right with leather look sofa's, some barrels to stand and drink at and two large screen TVs. There's also loads of decorative glass butterflies all around the room. Straight on is the bar and there's also a pool table at the back of the pub. Four handpumps of which three were on last night. Lees Bitter, Spitfire and Acorn Barnsley Bitter. We both opted for the Barnsley which was a very good pint. It's a decent pub.
