The Duke of York is a stone built pub that is on one of Todmorden's shopping streets.
Once inside there is a fairly large room with the bar on the front right side, the room is carpeted and the seating is bench seating and small stools, there is a pool table and TV to the rear, the TV was showing the Man Utd v Leicester City game.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths smooth crap, which lived up to its name.
This is a basic pub that the locals who use it seem to like.

A friendly enough pub for an afternoon drink. Its not great but its acceptable. No real ale. Very much for the pension brigade but you usually get a good tale with them. One bloke loved his country and western music.

Very friendly, down to earth atmosphere. Supports local soccer and darts teams. Went with my husband we were made very welcome

Opened up pub with a large bar area in front of you as you enter and a further large room to the left which looks like it's used for karaoke or something similar. Lots of nicotine bouncers outside. The clientele consisted of mainly older men with the exception of a family with a young daughter in the window seats. No real stuff on the bar and the welcome wasn't particularly friendly. There's nothing for me in here and I won't be visiting again unless I hear there have been some dramatic changes.
