Komakino . left this review about The Harte & Magpies

A roadside pub just over the hill outside Amersham Old Town, this has a decent-sized car park and beer garden, and although there's a lean on food, it doesn't have the appearance of a food-led estabishment. Entering from the car park, a small bar faces and offered Rebellion Smuggler and Chiltern Pale Ale. Stools were available to sit on at the bar and three gents were doing just that as I entered, with some seating to the right and a small room tucked back around behind the bar itself. To the left, although divided, the bar continues into what could be described as a dining area with an ocean of space between the bar and tables and chairs up against the opposite wall. Further on into the room, there's a half-height brick wall which sub-divides a cosier, smaller dining area. Little thrills here, but with the spacious beer garden and kiddies play area, undoubtedly a popular stop-off come the summer months.
