One of those enormopubs. This big monstrosity has a Wacky Warehouse attached so you should know the score. Typical of these places its all open planish with loads of offshoot areas for families and annoying children to sit and ruin your drinking. The pool table is randomly placed to the right side of the bar. 3 handpumps with nothing of interest, as you would expect. It seems to be a bit out of the way from the town centre and is only worth visiting if you're ticking off pubs.

A massive Fayre & Square situated just over the level crossing from Rawtenstall station, with a Wacky Warehouse attached. It sounds like hell, but it's rather more publike than many of the chain. There's a pool table to the right of the bar with a definite drinking area. It's all nicely done in a very corporate way. Three handpumps on the bar, but only Doom Bar actually available, which was in decent nick. Surprisingly there's a 10% CAMRA discount advertised on a blackboard next to the bar. Far better than I was expecting.

Captin COCONUTS! Many fond memories of this pub, including grandmas and grandads birthdays and loads of events. It is massive the food is nice and the p;ints are cold with a nice biog beer garden to lay around in on sunny days.

Had a good pint of John Smiths here early one lunchtime.I was expecting to find a small back street local, but no the place is massive. It is a Millers Kitchen establishment and is situated close to the railway line.
