Blue Scrumpy left this review about The White Horse

The White Horse is situated to the south east of Wokingham and is another Greene King establishment.

The interior is a single room, subdivided by what I recall was a fireplace. We chose to sit outdoors, where most tables are undercover. Live music is clearly popular here and the outdoor areas have many old music posters to study. It is a pleasant place to linger.

A pub I warmed to, apart from the slightly forgetful barmaid, who got our order wrong. Greene King IPA & Abbot & Timothy Taylor Landlord are the regular ales. The guest beer was St Austell Tribute.

A revisit to this nice genteel GK place. Three ales on; GK IPA, GK Abbot and a very good drop of TT Landlord. I warmed to it a bit more than previous, but again it was very quiet on our mid-afternoon visit; it must be more of an evening place.

Clean and tidy Greene King country pub, 15 minutes stroll from Wokingham town centre (set off down Easthampstead Road from outside the Victoria). Interior is quite comfy - carpeted, double-glazed, plush bottle green banquettes. etc. My Mum would be proud of it. Nice coloured horse lamps above the bar caught my eye. I also liked the exposed brick bar front and pillars. Three handpulls on the go (Ruddles County, Abbot and IPA) in good nick. Food is available. Basically seems like a place for old men to while away the time reading the paper in the afternoon and local green wellies to eat in the evening. I couldn’t find an awful lot to get excited about really; but then again I don’t like GK beer…perhaps the best thing to say is that it's a safe place to take Granny. Rated 6
