This is an old style pub in a row of terraced houses, a proper workingman’s local. There are 3 rooms, a cosy bar area to the right as you enter with a few seats and tables along with a few barstools. To the right is a lounge with faded and slightly shabby seating and a games room with a pool table. It’s badged as a Thwaites pub and has been for as long as I can remember, however the only cask ale on was Black Sheep bitter which was fine and at £2 is a bit of a steal. I used to play darts against the team from here many moons ago. The landlady has been here for 22 years and as far as I can see the pub hasn’t changed much in all that time. Long may it continue in its little timewarp.
