I’m not a big fan of modern “trendy” pubs but friendly staff a good selection of beers and simply the best pub food that I have had in ages, as agreed by all five of us who in called last night, made for a great night out.
Our waitress was new to the trade and only working her second night, she was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and trying very hard to please, and we also noticed the other staff supporting her, which was nice to see.
The artwork on the walls, mostly by contemporary local artist doesn’t take itself too seriously but is impressive (especially after two pints or so).
This all made for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, looking forward to my next visit.

Now a plush,modern style,food oriented pub,with an attractive outside area,adjacent to the river Wyre.
