Steve C left this review about The Station Hotel

The front of the Station Hotel is open plan seating and there is a small stage area in the front window where a duet were playing during my visit on Friday evening. To the right is more seating in a raised area. To the rear is the bar counter that serves this front seating area, the walkway and some seating up the left side of the pub from the entrance and a rear seating area. This area at the rear also houses a pool table and dartboard. There is more seating beyond that I didn’t investigate. Televisions for watching live sport are found throughout, muted rugby via Sky Sports was airing during my visit.
The front and back bars both have a bank of three handpumps, although the three in the back bar were unused, as was one in the front. The two available cask ales were Robinsons Unicorn and 61 Deep Pale Ale. A premium and standard keg range is also available. This pub is handily located across the road from Preston Station and is a good alternative to the Old Vic for those who like sport.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Station Hotel

A large and bustling sports pub by the side of the station, with lots of TV screens, pool tables etc. and an appropriate set of customers. There is a small patio area to the rear. Ales on were Marstons 61 Deep and Robinsons Unicorn - condition seemed ok.

Brainy Pool left this review about The Station Hotel

Now owned by ‘Blind Tiger Inns’ and modernised in a sports bar style. The pub is finally clean and pleasant, at least in the day time, and offers train timetables on one of the TV screens. plenty of real ale offers advertised but unfortunately today’s choice was 61 Deep and a weird, sweet tasting Doom Bar. Staff and clientele are young and the music is terrible, with more of a nightclub feeling. It’s a very slight improvement and it has probably found a market for itself, I doubt I’ll be calling here again though.

it might have had money spent on it but it's still rough as. on my last visit it was populated by bladdered women (possibly a hen party) and various loud groups on the piss. the refit is already looking a bit tatty. maybe it's better in the afternoon though.

Al Bundy left this review about Station Hotel

A pleasing pub to have a drink in before your train is due. A modern refurb that's not too bad. Real ales available.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Station Hotel

Completely modernised pub, now comprising a bright split-level interior with furniture to suit. Thankfully, it still offers real ale from three handpumps, with Deuchars IPA, Shepherd Neame Spitfire and Theakstons bitter (£2.75) when I visited. Overall, a pleasant surprise.

Colin Spiller left this review about Railway Hotel

Used to be called Railway Hotel. Now (May 2008) called Station Hotel. (Why change?)
