Pleasant looking out-of-town community boozer serving the local post-war suburb. Opened-out L-shaped interior with a naff two-tone grey décor, though the PNE stuff breaks it up a bit. Four pumps with two cask on both from Lancaster Brewery; Blonde and Haymaker (a cracker, NBSS 4) with pretty cheap pricing too. Blokey slant with the full monty of pool, darts and much, much TV (10+ screens). Fair local – someone knows what they’re doing with the cask and can imagine it’d be a great place to catch the footy or PDC. GBG ’22 listed, fair play to the local CAMRAs for putting this one in. 6.5

An out of town backstreet locals boozer, single roomed in an L shape, four handpums on the central bar with two on from Lancaster, Haymaker and Blonde. The downer on this pub was the total overload of TV screens, I counted twelve in total, for me that took any shine there may had been from this pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Princess Alice

Backstreet local, with an opened-out, L-shaped interior, and refurbished in a semi-modern style. Most notable for the rather overwhelming number of TV screens. Lancaster Brewery beers - Blonde and Hay-maker (£1.60, half, in fine shape) - being dispensed from the four handpumps.

Princess Alice is a backstreet local with lots of Preston North End and Lancaster Brewery paraphernalia on the walls. The bar supports a standard and premium keg range alongside six handpumps. I noted Lancaster Blonde and Hay-maker as being available, two others were in operation and two were unused. There is a pool table to the left and dartboard to the right. Televisions are located throughout, some were airing muted BBC news and other Sky Sports News. Live music is advertised for weekends and there is a jukebox. I’m glad I visited but wouldn’t make the walk from town just to visit here.

I can concur with all of the previous comments on this one. The Princess Alice is a tucked away backstreet corner local that is best found by using Google Maps.
Nice looking square pub from the outside with some pleasant red tiling you enter to face the central serving bar. Clearly multiple rooms back in the day it’s now opened out into one internal space with the left-hand side retaining a public bar feel being dominated by a pool table and the right hand side more lounge like with the carpeted sections and comfortable seating around the edges although this section does include a dartboard which would take out a significant section of the seating if it was used for its purpose.
The bar supports four hand pumps but only two were in operation for my visit and both with blond Lancaster Brewery beers in the shape of Hay Maker and Lancaster Blond. My pint of blonde was well kept and at a very wallet pleasing £3.20 a pint. By the look of some of the Lancaster Brewery posters dotted around the pub I assume there is some type of tie up with the Brewery.
Very friendly service levels from the landlady behind the jump and I did get the impression that this is a friendly well run backstreet local. But I have one major issue with the Princess Alice and that is with the plethora of TV screens. This is not a big pub but from my seated position at the end of the lounge section I could count eight screens and there could well have been more at the other end of the pub that I couldn’t see. This is one of those places where it is physically impossible to stand or sit anywhere in the pub without being in full view of at least one but probably multiple TV screens quite possibly showing different channels as they were on this Thursday evening. So actually instead of friendly conversational backstreet local you get more of a vibe of an Australian sports bar.
A clue to why this could be is also on the walls in the form of the Preston North End playoff posters dotted around the pub and then the realisation that it’s only about a 15 minute stroll across Moorpark to Deepdale from here so I can imagine that on match days this place is absolutely humming with people who appreciate multiple TV screens. Unfortunately I’m not really one of them and it did slightly spoil the enjoyment of this place for me

As Jon B says below, "you would never ever know about this pub unless you're a local or a real ale pub ticker", which puts me in my box since I'm obviously not a local! If I was, this would be one of my regular haunts, a very nice-looking back street local with several real ales. Also, it's got to be said, lots of TV screens. The three beers at the time of my visit (with a fourth hand pump unclipped) were all blonde, and I went for the Lancaster Brewhouse Boadicea, which was ok but not at all memorable.

you would never ever know about this pub unless you're a local or a real ale pub ticker. it's hidden away on a residential street to nowhere. inside it's traditional other than the almost surreal amount of TV screens and has 4 hand pumps and reasonably priced at £2.70 a pint. very very busy with Preston fans on a Saturday afternoon. another that's worth the walk out of Preston but do keep a map on you.

The Princess Alice is now under new management and is open from 7.00PM seven days a week with a late licence friday and Saturday the opening time are up for change as soon as the new Landlady as Sky Installed. Its a friendly pub and is slowly trying to recover for the last tennents running the pub down. It has two cask ales on most days and the beer is cheap compared to the rest in the area. I will keep going in to see if it becomes the pub it once was

This pub is "run" by a couple from the Liverpool area but they are hardly ever there. At present you will struggle to find it open Tues, Weds and Thurs, apathy rules. The Landlord does karoke on Friday night, and on Saturday's there is usually a singer on (or the Landlord again). The pub does not open during the day, but is usually very busy on Saturday night from 22.00 until 00.30, when an act is playing and it is grab a granny time. The place could be a lot better and is currently going through an internal redecoration process which has been on going now for 2 months!
