not a fan of the soulless Craft Union chain as a general rule, but there has been a pretty tasteful refurb here. Wood panelling and distinct areas remain. it’s a fairly pleasant traditional pub with down to earth clientele, but the tacky drinks offers, screens and threatened karaoke/DJ sets do detract. Not to mention a lack of decent ale.

A pub just off the main road which has a choice of five cask ales which were well looked after.
