Disgusting. Menu looks varied and with the prices that they are charging it looked promising! Hubby ordered the steak and ale pie and got a large cold vol eu vent pastry case with a couple of pieces of bland stewing steak in the middle. My gammon was the saltiest bacon chop I have ever had the misfotune to pay £10 for. Too many good places to eat in this area to ever EVER consider going back. YUKKKKKKKK

Ate her on the 6th Dec 2010, after a break of some two years due to poor quality service/food.
The pub still retains it's themed character and is quite comfortable, with a real fire.
The food was good, as was the beer. The only concern we had was that early drinkers were milling around the lounge bar.
Some diners may find this slightly 'disconcerting'. However we would still recommend it as the proprietors are locals who want to make a go of it and hopefully return it to it's former status.

The Victoria Inn is now under new management, with a new head chef. The pub is now, generally busy and we have had no complaints about food quality. If Mr Lyons would like to visit again, I am confident that he will walk away with a better view of the pub.

Car Park to side, level access, beer garden.
No smoking area. Spacious, comfortable lounge with open fire.
Ales on offer include Old Faithful, Black Sheep and Beacon.
Food is basic pub grub. Prices reasonable. Children's menu and veg options.
Sadly on the day we visited it seemed that the steak & kidney pudding had spent too long in the microwave and the carrots not long enough, as both were hard.
Service cheerful, fast and friendly.
