There is a public bar in this rather plush hotel called Sandemans Bar. it’s a fairly standard hotel bar which is probably quite pleasant if you’re staying here and served Wainwright’s when I called in. It’s a few minutes walk to the Herdwick which is a far better option for the pub tickers though .
