looks considerably nicer than it is. one of a cluster of pretty downmarket blokes pubs in this part of town. like the others it's rough and ready and karaoke central on a Friday/Saturday night.

A small somewhat intimate pub. It was friendly enough and the single room is fairly traditional. Not much in the way of real ale choice and as it seems to be a Thwaites pub the only beer on on my visit was a rather dull Thwaites Bitter.

I used to call ion here from time to time when I lived in Lancaster - it was a Yates & Jacksons pub in those days, and the Thwaites Original which they serve these days is a very similar beer. I've often found Thwaites bitter to be disappointing, but the half I had here was in very good condition and most enjoyable.

One of my favorite pubs in Lancaster always call in as always nice and clean a good set of lads round the bar recognised one or two faces round the bar thats been going in years its had a bit off a refurb not a lot to spoil it
