Will Larter left this review about The Castle Inn

A lovely old building, in keeping with much of this delightful village, but this is now much more of a restaurant than a pub. Every table is set up for dining, and there is very limited space around the bar, and although we were offered we declined a chance to take our drinks to a vacated dining table. Beers available on the three hand pumps were Old School Brewery's Detention, Cross Bay Sunset and Legendary Cumbrian Ales' Loweswater Gold, three barely distinguishable golden beers. The two halves we had were in good condition, though a tad expensive at £3.60 a pint. I don't know if locals congregate here for a beer or two after the diners have gone - we didn't hang around to find out.
